South Petherton is is a village on the River Parrett in South Somerset, in the west of England. It is 5 miles east of Ilminster and 5 miles north west of Crewkerne. It currently has a population of approximately 3,300. South Petherton parish includes the hamlets of Yeabridge, Compton Durville, South Harp, and Over Stratton, and is approximately 2 miles from East Lambrook, Martock and Lopen.
